John Anton joined NNEHIF in 1997 as Vice President, and has been President since May 2000. Prior to joining NNEHIF, Mr. Anton held a number of positions in the affordable housing field, including acquisitions officer for the Enterprise Social Investment Corporation in Columbia, Maryland and project manager for the Arlington Housing Corporation of Arlington, Virginia.
Mr. Anton has a B.A. from Yale University and a Master’s in City and Regional Planning from the University of North Carolina. Mr. Anton serves on the Portland (Maine) City Council. In the past, Mr. Anton has served on the boards of the Portland (Maine) Planning Board, the National Association of State and Local Equity Funds, the Genesis Community Loan Fund, and the Portland (Maine) Housing Authority.
